The ingredients needed to make Mango phirni:

  1. {Get of full fat milk.
  2. {Get of Alphonso mango puree.
  3. {Make ready of soaked basmati rice.

Steps to make Mango phirni:

  1. Wash the rice thoroughly, and soak it for a while. After soaking it spread the rice on the cotton/muslin cloth..
  2. After the rice got semi dried, add the rice to grinder and grind the rice in the granular paste..
  3. For mango puree, peel the mango and add pieces in the jar and blend it till you get smooth paste..
  4. Take a heavy bottom pan or utensil and pour the milk. Stir the milk in between in order to avoid scorching..
  5. After milk gets a boil, add the rice granules in the pan and stir it at regular intervals...
  6. Add the Powdered sugar, as rice is getting cooked. Milk will thicken upon cooking of rice. At this point continuously stir the mixture in order to avoid any lumps and getting it brown..
  7. Now switch off the gas as phirni is cooked and keep it to cool down at the room temperature..Add the Powdered cardamom and chopped dry fruits in it..
  8. After phirni cooled down, add the mango puree in the phirni and give it a mix. If the mango puree is thick add some warm milk in the puree to make it thin like consistency...
  9. Now add the Mango phirni to the serving bowls and keep it in the fridge for 4-5 hrs. You can put it in the freezer also as per your requirement..
  10. Now take the bowls out and garnish it with some chopped dry fruits and fresh mint leaves.
  11. Tadaaaa!! Your mango phirni is ready. Enjoy you dessert.
